Turn Off the TeeVee and Get Mad

Write an angry letter, deficate somewhere

One of the most sophisticated ways to steal is banking.  A related crime is trading stocks, and the worst of all is call the Federal Reserve System.  Realize that money is never lost.  It's just transfered from one place to another.  Like matter, it can't really be destroyed.  But it can change phase.

You put money into your retirement account only to discover that somehow the 20 years worth of deposits you had accumulated are gone.  The TeeVee Money Channel gives you all kinds of cool sounding excuses, the latest money changer from The Fed goes on to tell you about all of the things that happened to facilitate the transfer of your money from your account to theirs.   Wash away the fancy talk.  You've been robbed.

In 1880 there was a feud fought over the ownership of a single pig.  It was of course a point of honor, too.  But they killed each other over it.  The wealth their sweat produced mattered.   Given the recent events surrounding the stock market, Enron, Haliburton, The Fed, and the government, let me ask this question:   What does it take to make the American people mad??

Our ancestors started beating the crap out of Englishmen because they put a tax on tea.   Many a limey life was cut short by an American rifle ball because they tried to levy small taxes to pay for a previous war against the French.  If they lived in our time they would go berserk.

A famous comedian was doing a routine about some child molesting cannibal who had been arrested, tried, and sentenced to life in prison.  When commenting on the man's sentence, he asked a question that was so true it was funny.  He asked, "What do you have to do in America to get executed??"

Good question.

That man should have been swung by his pencil neck in public.  He should have been left swinging until birds built nests in his empty eye sockets.

Sometimes it's alright to get mad.
