Wild Hat

Times Change, I Guess

The other day I saw a portrait of a 17th century man. He was wearing a huge hat which was covered with plumes of every kind.

I wondered why anyone would wear such an unwieldy, wild hat like that.

But why not? It's not like he was ever going to go fast enough for it to blow off of his head.
