This IS What Really Happened

Georgia is a country that's south of Russia, east of Turkey, and north of both Armenia and Azerbaijan. Both of the aformentioned countries are just north of Iran.

Inside Georgia there's a province called South Osetia. It's on the northern border with Russia, in fact North Osetia is in Russia. The South Osetians are ethnically Russian and favor the culture and life in North Osetia, i.e., Russia. So much so in fact, that the Russians even issue Russian passports to South Osetians who want to travel.

The Republic of Georgia, formed when it broke away from the decaying old Soviet Union in 1992, sees South Osetia's affection for North Osetia (Russia) as a threat. South Osetians are considered to be in a state of rebellion. The Russians sent in peacekeepers to protect the rights and property of the South Osetians who were ethnically Russian and in danger of severe persecution from the Georgians.

On August 8, 2008, the Georgian Army together with Israeli and U.S. military advisors and special forces attacked the Russian peacekeepers in South Osetia. Many Russians were killed in their showers, bunks and mess halls. The intended effect was that the Russians would leave, but instead they sent reinforcements and armour brigades to defend and support the peacekeepers already in South Osetia. Many witnesses, some Americans visiting family there, testified that the Georgians were killing everybody, and that the arrival of Russian troops actually saved their lives.

One such witness said so during an interview with Shepard Smith of Fox News. The witness was cut off and the show went to comerical break. When they finally returned Shepard said that "That's what the Russians want you to believe."

It's no mystery what the puppet devils at Fox News want you to believe. But the Truth will set you free.
